Meghan and James’ wedding was one of the most laid back, enjoyable weddings I have been a part of. They got married at Friends Farm in Belews Creek, NC. This venue is so eclectic. It has a beautiful ceremony space that has a creek running through it, covered with trees, birds chirping, or in their case, doves. One awesome thing about this venue is they have trained doves that can be released during the ceremony! The doves fly away and return to the home behind the venue afterwards. It’s the coolest thing, except I scream every time I shoot a wedding here because it always catches me off guard! hah! But it really is such a magical addition to the day.
Meghan’s goal was to blend their families in the most beautiful way, surrounded by family and friends who were just ready to celebrate them and have a good time. Meghan’s mom made her bouquets, and the amazing taco bar. Her friends did her hair and makeup. James had his best friends hanging with him before the ceremony and was just such a pleasure to photograph. Everything was just perfect.
